Overview
Prior to founding NQ Project Partners, Matt Pollock served as Project Manager on a $25M Intelligent Transport Systems upgrade across the Kuranda Range for the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads, under a TMR TIC-CO contract framework.
The challenge
Delivering conduit and ITS infrastructure across the Kuranda Range's steep, environmentally sensitive terrain required a mix of trenchless and traditional installation methods, along with cast in situ piling in constrained conditions.
Our approach
Matt held full project management responsibility for site delivery, coordinating horizontal directional drilling and traditional trenching for conduit installation alongside cast in situ piling operations across the range.
Our solution
The project was delivered successfully across genuinely difficult terrain, experience Matt now brings directly into NQ Project Partners' embedded delivery model.
Key outcomes
$25M ITS upgrade delivered across challenging range terrain
Combination of HDD and traditional trenching methods applied
Full project management accountability for site delivery
