We started NQ Project Partners because we saw a better way to deliver civil infrastructure, and we've built our business around it ever since.
Our story
After 18 years working for civil contractors, often away from home, Matt Pollock moved his family to Cairns to build something different: engineers embedded directly with contractors on the ground, not the FIFO model he'd spent his career following. That approach became NQ Project Partners, which now runs six to seven engineers across Far North Queensland, built on the same principle that started it all: embed the right people, give them the right systems, and let the work speak for itself.
Our purpose
We started this business because we believe contractors deserve engineers who stay the distance and systems that catch problems early, not after they've cost you.
We're selective about who joins our team, because our reputation depends on the quality of every engineer we place.
Our engineers relocate to the community they're working in, building real local knowledge.
We built our own cost control system so clients always know where their project stands, not just at the end of the month.

Director
Krystal brings over 10 years' banking and finance experience across regional and metropolitan Queensland, including branch management and home finance roles, into leading NQ Project Partners' commercial operations, business administration and digital systems.
Founder
Matt brings 18 years' civil construction experience to NQ Project Partners, beginning with a RoadTek/TMR cadetship and building through 12 years in senior construction management. He's delivered Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads infrastructure projects up to $152M, and was named the 2022 CCF QLD Construction Industry Person of the Year.
